John Baldwin ADAMSON, who lived on a tract of land know as “Adamson’s Choice” conveyed to him by a patent granted to him by Lord BALTIMORE, proprietor of the Province of MD, under date of July 2, 1726. “Adamson’s Choice” was then in Prince George Co., later Frederick Co., & Now Montgomery Co., in a district known as Scotland on Captain John’s Creek about three & one-half miles from Rockville.
John Baldwin ADAMSON & his wife Lucy ADAMSON, settled on “Adamson’s Choice” immediately after the grant of the patent. This John Baldwn ADAMSON should not be confused with Captain John ADAMSON, a relative whose wife also was Lucy. Captain John ADAMSON was a very wealthy land owner who lived in the same section but no ADAMSON in the United States descended from him.
