                                 Custom 8 inch Mattress

1998 Roadtrek, 190 Popular, Class B motorhome, 63345 original miles

I purchased this van in May 2000 with 8069 mileage.  Previous I had a Class B with rear bathroom and overhead sleeping. I could not comfortably get into the overhead bed.  One had to crawl over the couch / bed to get to the bathroom. With the couch / bed down, it blocked access to the kitchen cabinets.

This unit completed eliminated these problems and provided many other conveniences.
By raising the roof and lowering the floor, there's plenty of headroom for my 6 foot stature. The aisle is a full 30 inch wide so two people
can pass easily. When finished traveling, one can easily utilize the unit without major reconfiguration. I installed custom made 8 inch mattress's and always had the beds available for a nap along the way or for night use.
This unit has only two seats, so a large amount of additional storage is provide in the armoire (pantry) and wardrobe. Other Roadtreks are
configured with a third and sometimes a fourth seat.  With the additional storage, I could have storage so as to travel two, three and even four
weeks without major food purchases or other shopping.  With rear access and storage into the running boards for hoses and cables, this unit has a lot of storage, more so than many travel trailers.

The van is very compact and drives very well. In my travels, I could easily maneuver in congested traffic and into a parking space. I could
enter a cemetery without visual intrusion of a large motorhome, and still enjoy the comforts of home.

*********************

In 2006 (mileage -62601) after moving to New Mexico, I became "grounded" due to asthma and the need to have Oxygen when sleeping. The unit has been in storage since  2012, not driven but only been run every 4 months to keep battery charged.

To make the unit completely operational, I recommend a tune up on the generator, Replace rear Battery ( used start the generator), and new tires.
Also recommend replacement with a digital TV. It is a excellent size and you can park it anywhere, It fits great in any driveway and it's also street legal for parking.   I have all the original manuals, and all the maintenance records since I acquired it and current registration .
